Suu Tanaka began ballet in early childhood and performed as a child artist on stages both in Japan and abroad, including the Mariinsky Ballet's Japan tour and the New National Theatre Ballet Tokyo.

She then studied at the Vaganova Ballet Academy in Russia and graduated from the National Ballet School of Ukraine, where she also qualified in the Vaganova method for lower grades.During her studies she joined a US touring company and performed principal roles.

After graduating she joined the National Theatre Košice Ballet in Slovakia for six years, dancing on stage while also working as the theatre's resident ballet photographer — seeing stage arts from both the performer's and the recorder's side.

During her time in Košice she photographed a poster for a work by the acclaimed choreographer Akram Khan and covered events including a party hosted by former Slovakian President Zuzana Čaputová.She has also taken part in Europe's White Night Festival as an artist, held photo exhibitions in Slovakia, and presented her own choreographed and directed performance works, engaging with expression across photography, dance and art.

Building on her experience as a stage artist, she is opening her own studio and artist-support space, "Atelier Florere," in Ōizumi-gakuen, Tokyo, in October 2026.She now works as a freelance photographer, capturing the beauty held in a dancer's body and movement while creating spaces where artists and audiences can meet through many forms of expression.
